Hit Tapps Saturday and had on my first musky of the year after setting the hook 3 times (I thought) he managed to spit the lure as I was directing my daughter to ready the NEW Musky Cradle! Remember these guys have one boney jaw! Not sure if we would of had it with my daughter handling the cradle, it seems very cumbersome. I also lost the largest smallie I've ever had at the boat ready to net. It hit my musky buck inline spinner as I ran it in front of a dock.

Sunday I hit Tapps SOLO- took the standard jumbo non-knotless net -had a great time and conversation with my self. LOL! Saw no muskies but did manage two smallies on a sweet beaver. On the lake at 7:10AM and off by noon.

Here is a photo of the NEW SIGNS at the launch and reader board in the County Park also a smallie for your enjoyment!!

thanks for the report. i was at the park last week. it was my first time there. the lake seems like a good lake for large and small mouth with stumps, etc. but never fished there. it is a huge lake. i am sure you will catch another monster musky soon! good luck!

Watch out with those cradles, it's an easy way to get a face full of hooks. Just think if it spit the hook a few seconds later with a head shake after she got it in the cradle. Scary deal. Puts the net person in a rather compromising position, bent over the side of the boat, over the thrashing fish. Most people that get them end up selling them. I wanted one at one point, too.

Those signs look darn good. Notice the NW Tiger Pac logo on the new musky sign??? Yep, we bought them. Remember folks, the new minimum size starting May 1st goes up to "fantastic fifty". That's 50"
