Arrived around 6:50am just before high tide at 7:30 and lost one after about 20 minutes of casting. It was a long morning with no more strikes for until 1pm when I landed one, then about 10 minutes later I landed a nice hen for my second Coho. I counted 20 boats at one point fishing just off the beach and probably saw about ten fish taken by the boaters. I was on the beach for about six and a half hours and saw approximately 9 or 10 fish taken by the beach fisherman including my two. I had to work hard to catch those two but it was fun to finally catch two just prior to low tide.

Last year i put in 4 days at north beach and got 6 coho. This year so far i am skunked in 3 attempts. I killed pinks, just no coho yet. Last year i had great success with holographic green/silver buzz bomb spiked with herring oil. Not a sniff on it yet this year. Seems most are catching on chartreuse rotators. I always do best there the few hours before low tide. Next weekend looks like a good tide. Kudos to you for having the stamina to cast for over 6 hours. 4 hours for me and i feel like my arm is going to fall off.
