Put into the Nehalem near Vernonia, Oregon and Floated approx 3 mi to Big Eddy park. Took all day and we wished there had been more daylight. Water was fairly clear with 4 ft vis. All of us in our float pontoon party (4) were using black/brown dressed rooster tails and panther martin spinners. Some were using a small bit of worm as a trailer off the treble and I was using red gulp grub off the treble. Over 40 trout caught and released for the day by the group. One kept (14"). Weather was perfect, small amounts of overcast. Everybody had a blast. We saw no one else on the entire float. There were many spots to stop and work the pools and the trout were fighters! We will definitely float this stretch again!
