Launched at 10 this morning at 7 bays, it was windy horrible weather tough drive to get there from Spokane. I went with 2 budies from work and the drive paid off. Thanks to dbrowning (who I met at Ft Spokane launch on Monday) and his advice on lures to use here. Our 1st fish was in 10 minutes and the 2nd was 15 mins later, in 2 hours we landed 7 fatties and lost 6 close to the boat. The wind really picked up and the water was rough with white caps so we called it a day. Fished with J-9 jointed rapala ad a 4" X-Rap rapala as well as a silver fox spoon, all caught fish. We had a great day with nice fish thanks to Dave and his advice. Fished the east bank at 2.8 to 3.2 mph maybe 50 yards from the bank.

What an awesome day! I can't take any credit though, that fishery is unbelievable. I'm really happy you had such a great day. It's fun to take some other people out and actually produce. Nice fishing, others wouldn't have went out in weather like that. The payoff is worth it if you're willing to endure some cold. Great report Tom, hope to see you out there again!

It has been easy to limit this fall-winter, and same in 2009. Lets hope it keeps up. I usually dont use anything with treble hooks since it is hard not to injure the fish to release. But, I have a gift cert and think I'll buy a couple Rapalas anyway. I am looking on Bass Pro website and there are many X-Raps to choose from. Which model of 4" X-Rap do you all use? Any certain color? Thanks.
