Fishing for me has been very good over the past week in the Portland area around Interstate 5. I have had boat limits or near limits every day for the past week. This upcoming week should continue to fish very well. I have found success trolling Herring downstream near the bottom in 25-35 FOW. Have been getting fish on a mix of whole herring and cut plug herring. Most of my success with the cut plug baits has been with them dyed a slight blue color. the key to this fishery is to keep your gear fishing very near the bottom. You want your gear touching bottom just ever so slightly.

I have a few openings this week for partial boats. Remember this the fishery in the Portland area will close April 10th. After that i will be following fish upstream as they move over the dams.
