I fished from shore starting at Eden Harbor. Not even a bump. I moved up to Spring Canyon. Same... I dropped down to Crescent Bay and scratched out 3 of this years fish to salvage the day.
I never should have believed the weather report. The forecast was for wind 13 MPH plus. So I opted not to pull my 14 footer along. (Should have!)
Shore access was very limited due to full pool. I talked to a local that told me the pool had jumped up about a foot and a half over night. And that almost always makes fishing tough.
I tried using Power bait and Fire bait in multiple colors. Orange and or chartreuse got the bites. Hooked 3 and missed 2. I had higher hopes and was brought back down to earth.
It was good to get out.
