Today was my second trip up to Baker. First trip was last weekend with Paul Lewis which on my end wasn't all that great, hooked 2 lost 2 but Paul got the skunk off the boat and brought home one.

I had one goal on my mind and that was to get some revenge. It didn't take long for the first fish to come... I started trolling in shallow water, somewhere around 55ft. Just trying to get my gear set up and down on the rigger... as I was letting the second rod down (around 25ft) it pops off the clip and the fish starts peeling Line! A few min later I bonk my first of the day.

As the day continued I ended up having a drive by, and then one hooked fish that did a lovely aerial and snapped my leader about 2 ft away from the net. Ashamed to say this but it happened twice... anyways, the last fish came as I was trolling back to the launch in 50ft of water 15ft down on the rigger. It seems the Sockeye are hanging in the shallows more than usual. Just my two sense.

Gear used: Pink Hoochie, 00 chrome dodger, sandshrimp, procure Krill/Shrimp gel scent. Keep your leaders short!!! Tight lines!

Ya I figured as much! But aye, I got em to bite today. Lots of boats got skunked from what I heard. It's funny how everyone follows each other out there and the Lake is sooooo big. So much water to cover. Oh well, more for me I guess

What is the best launch/campground to use? I am heading up there Tuesday afternoon and haven't been there in a long time. I will be staying Tuesday and Wednesday night hoping for some sockeye action.
