Put my boat in around 3PM during high tide. Saw some, but not many coho rolling and finning, but they were lock jawed and not biting. Dozens of boats trolling and casting to the few fish that revealed themselves but none were hooking up. Judging by the number of rigs at the new free Snohomish boat launch, most of the boats must have been far up river. Hoping that more rain and greater numbers improves the fishing. Lures didn't seem to be working for anyone. I wonder if bait would have been the ticket? I twitched jig head hootchies and trolled a pixie spoon, but no luck.

I checked out upriver near Thomas eddy Tuesday for about an hour. Saw 1 fish roll and a huge seal. Water was low and clear. We need another good rain.

I was up there Tuesday evening as well. Saw two seals and a handful of fish rolling but they were on the other side of the river near the downed logs and I couldn't access them from the park side. Nice to get out there though.
