On a whim, I decided to bank fish W. Medical Lake. Nice weather at first, but the wind and some "Yak, yak, with belly laugh" (non-stop) anglers by the boat launch caused me to "pull the plug". I caught three in fairly short order; releasing two of them and keeping one 13"er that was bleeding. Water was nice and clear with no algae bloom (yet) and the notorious W. Medical litter was minimal with the exception of wads of monofilament line. I filled up a plastic grocery sack with the stuff. It poises a serious danger to the, about to nest, waterfowl that make this lake such a neat place to fish.
