I decided to give potholes another try after my great trip I had several days ago. I brilliantly deduced that since the state park was shut off for camping and with all the other wonderful restrictions set in place, that boat traffic wouldn’t be to bad. WRONG! We fished from 830 to 430. 3 small rainbow caught one lost. My favorite area in front of Medicare beach area was a zoo of family fun time. Boats and kids. I don’t blame them. I’m glad people are out and enjoying life now. I managed to fish an area without to much traffic. Pulling mag lips and flicker shads. Plenty of fishermen around. I didn’t see a net fly all day. A lesson re-learned. Stay home and catch up on chores these holiday weekends so that you’re all caught up and ready to go soon after.

Thanks for the report. I was wondering how crazy it would be there. No, I never go out on a holiday weekend for this reason. Was the lake really high now?

Did you put in at Mardon or the rough launch by the dam?

The lake was near full capacity. I put in at the state park. The boat launch is open just no camping.
