--Most target the big rainbows but a few of us have fun with kokanee year round.
--Ice fishing for kokanee has become popular as well... with several lakes now being stocked wth kokanee triploids rather than eastern brook trout.

2/5/2015 9:00:00 AMNice Fish. My only question is why not some lighter gear? You can fish Kokes with a bit smaller Dodger and a 7 foot Okuma Kokanee Rod and spin reel. It makes for a lot of fun. Ambassador 6000 with a Fenglass rod is a great plug set up for Steelies just seems like over kill for Kokanee. Thanks for the Video and information though. I need to get over there.

The fenwicks were handling some heavier dropper weight set ups. Yes, I agree, I run lighter noodle rods (Lamiglas) on my boat. It was still a lot of fun. :-)
