I just watched a Hawg Quest video of the boys catching cutthroat out off the end of Coleman Pt. I noticed that the main guy ( can't remember his name ) commenting that there was no one out there fishing. What was real interesting was they fished it about the same time we did our video. Mid Febuary. Hopefully when he goes back out there, he will see a few more bass boat's.

Great Video Guys. Thanks for sharing your winter bass techniques. I have a question if you don't mind. When you use the drop shot/football head jig rig are you dragging the rig, jigging it or imparting some king of action to the rig? It looks like you are trolling the rig along the bottom with an ocassional jigging motion.
Can you use a football jig on the bottom and a jointed shadrap off a 3 way swivel above(combining the two methods)?

Fantastic video featuring a simple but powerful technique. I tried it yesterday, and in a kayak no less, and it worked for my first ever winter smallmouth on Lake WA. the fish was between 2 and 3 lbs. Now I need to report the catch on the reports. What a great way to start 2010.
