Fished my buddies private ponds on Saturday. Fishing is about what you would expect right now. Slloowww, I got 3 bites for 3 fish.
Slow rolling a curly tail grub on a jig head.
I'm going to wait till night time temps come up a little before trying again.

Re: Best Ultralight Lures For Small Bass
NEVER use a #7 2 3/4" jointed Rapala in Silver, Rainbow, or Perch. NEVER!!! I have one that is a "swimmer" and it's fooled more than a couple 5+ pound fish. Anyways, a small curly tail grub on a jig head, spinners up to size 2, small road runners jigs are 3 really good choices. Live target has a co...

I learned long ago to always keep a penny on me. Good luck? Not so much, something about holding a penny against a bee sting works wonders. I don't know what good it would do at this point if any?meandermeadows wrote: The bad news was, I kicked over a beehive on the trail and got stung upwards of a dozen times.

headed there tomorrow but not sure of what to take, last fish caught were hooked with pink jigs..... Anyone have a report or info on lures? Locals using just a jig are waiting for the fish to swim into their line for a floss. The jig simply sits in the mud. Now I guess you could float fish or twitc...

Re: trolling rods
Kufa makes a kokanee rod, its 8'. 2- 8 line rating and bends like a wet noodle. They are about 50 bucks a piece. With that said I regularly run 20 pound mono and fish it in the salt for coho (no 11" flashers). I've landed everything from perch to Kings on it. Nothing over 20lbs though.

The tuna boys pick off steelhead every once and a while trolling x raps. I forgot the site, maybe ifish or bloody decks had a post talking about ocean steel.

Re: Bad news comes early--- coho declines again
Pretty much half of all the fish are caught in BC, Alaska and various off shore Fisheries. All before they come back to Washington for the tribes to take their 50%. This is after an over abundance of seals and birds eats a good chunk of smolts. So sure removing nets might help, but most of the fish ...

Re: WDFW enacts a discrimatory fishing rule?
We don't have a right to catch every single fish. And with the way the OP rivers are getting pounded I think it makes sense to back off on where and how people can fish. This is exactly why these rules are being added. Its either limit angler encounters on wild fish or close it down. Not because so...

Ive killed a lot of steelhead with my 11 6 fish eagle 2, same as the grey fish eagles they sell now that my buddy catches all his steel on. Really good rods for the money. I do everything from drift/float fishing, tossing hardware and pulling plugs with it. My dad has an old loomis rated 4# thats 11...

Re: Looks like the Snohomish is finally getting a new ramp
Didnt take any pictures but there is a ramp dug out in between the current boat launch and the soccer fields. Its just a little ways below the beach where everyone stands in the corner. Looks like it will only be a single lane though. No concrete or anything so it will probably be a while still befo...

Another vote for a good mainline swivel, it makes life easier. Sometimes jellyfish slime can cause some issues so make sure you keep you gear clean from it. Just dont use bare hands to remove the red ones, ask me how i know

You should be able to find some pinks swimming around close by. They were pretty thick up there a couple weeks ago.
