No hotspots allowed for Lake Roosevelt?
I guess this is a bit of an Admin question, but I was trying to get some ideas on Where to fish for my first trip to Roosevelt this weekend but there are no hotspots for it. Are they even allowed for that area?
If anyone can put a few on a map for me and post them I would be very grateful.
Thanks again, Doug

I've only fished Roosevelt once myself and I had/have the same question. Do people just not post any hotspots for it or could there be a glitch in the system?
Re: No hotspots allowed for Lake Roosevelt?
Mike has said why, but I forget. I think something to do with it being a river. The location you have selected is not compatible with the Hotspot tool.

Interesting. Thank you. A shame though.

Just an FYI, there are maps that you can purchase (not sure the name of them) that show the "hotspots" to try on Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake. I bought them at Big Wally's on the south end of Banks lake, and I think that Coolee Playland might sell them as well. They give some detailed spots for Kokanee, Bass and trout.

Im pretty sure Mike said this would get fixed on the new site when it goes up.

I'll ask Aaron about this next week. We have a get together and I'll be seeing him then. It would certainly be nice to have.

I'd understand why someone would be leary of allowing hot spots on resivoirs whose water levels fluctuate to the large degree that Roosevelt does. Same goes for the pass lakes, especially Cle Elum. Come late spring with the water levels at or near max, a hotspot in 50+' of water may be high and dry this time of year. And we all know some yahoo is going to plug that hotspot into his GPS, run his boat aground and blame someone other than himself.
