Upper Sky Whitefishing

Post by jdp53 » Wed Feb 08, 2017 3:11 pm

Not trying to have anyone cough up their premium runs or anything, but I am hoping I can get some advice on fishing for whitefish on the Upper Skykomish River South Fork. It is a quick drive for me to get above sunset falls where fishing for whitefish is still open through the end of the month. I've tried drifting beads tossing out small spoons with no luck in waters that would seem to hold fish. Any advice? Selective gear rules apply on this stretch so no barbs, no bait/scent. Thanks!

I like to use a #10 white fly or an orange/white fly under a small bobber. Fish 2 fly's on one leader. Good luck! =P~
