I have a 2015 Ram 2500 4X4. The factory exhaust is very quiet and unappealing to me. The truck sounds great when I get on it to pass, but the everyday sound is "Boring". I am considering a product called Mufflex Performance Exhaust. They are supposed to make the vehicle sound like a dual exhaust, but at a fraction of the cost. They sound great on youtube videos, but I'm looking for someone that has one to get their opinion. The online reviews seem to be good but I don't always trust them. Does anyone on this site own one, or know someone that does? Input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Mufflex anyone?

Re: Mufflex anyone?
as a dealer, I would advise you to check with your dealer to ensure it will NOT void your warranty. Aftermarket parts on these new trucks are designed to work together to ensure both performance and emissions are within regulations. Changes can void warranty's. fyi.
Re: Mufflex anyone?
Thanks for the input. I do intend to talk with the dealer before making a decision. I bought a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty and don't want to jeaprodize it. I did read in an online forum where one guys opinion was that you should be able to change or replace a muffler without warranty issues but that's not enough for me. I will contact the dealer.
Re: Mufflex anyone?
Not sure if this applies anymore with new vehicles, but back pressure used to be something to consider when changing out exhaust parts. We used to run straight pipes off headers back in the day, and we had to do a lot of tweaking to get the timing adjusted correctly, and we still went through valve seats pretty fast.
Forgiveness is between them and God. My job is to arrange the meeting!

Just me, but I wouldn't modify anything, especially a component of the emissions system, while under warranty. Manufacturers cannot void a warranty for use of non-OEM parts, they can however determine if the non-OEM part contributed to a failure and deny warranty coverage.
