I will be heading down there as well, memorial day weekend. If anyone knows of some good smallie waters and feels like sharing with the class, it would really help me out!

i would try around bateman island on the Columbia
Sacajawea park on the snake
The lower 5 miles of the Yakima
The Yakima would be my top choice

What species would I catch and what should I use. I have only been in that area once and never fished it. Any more info is welcomed.

Mostly Bass if you use jigs and jerk baits. I also have really good luck with spinners.
Catfish if you use worms and chicken liver
