Lake Tapps

Those who have fished it know, its very big, and very intimidating. This will be my third year fishing it and I have just had a much harder time picking this lake apart than I have had other lakes (due to its size), with all the fish that I have caught being spread apart and in a variety of structures and areas (for the most part around tapps island and driftwood point), so putting together a pattern has been hard. So my question being, what are some of the better areas to be focusing my time around on this lake? Not asking for specifics by any means just general areas, anything would be appreciated!

I presume you mean fishing for Bass as you posted this in the Bass Forum. BUT, maybe you ment musky, or something else, or maybe any/all specie of fish. Ok, then do you mean Largies, or Smallies, or both?

Im wondering if it will be worth even trying this year at all after that big draw down.

It seems to me that all the shallow vegetation - actually probably more like 90% of the vegetation - will have died off while it was drained. How long will it take for that stuff to come back and make for decent habitation?

Has anyone tried it yet?

That's true too. I have my doubts that it'll be good enough to spend much time on the lake for a couple years, but, who really knows. Maybe in a month or two will tell the tale, after the water is high enough for boats, and people give it a serious try.
