Post by Lucius » Wed Oct 14, 2009 9:18 pm

I just stumbled across this on another forum. If it is on Shimano's website then it looks like it is pretty legit. I already sent my letter I hope the rest of you will do the same. Check it out!!

When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

I'm kind of wondering what areas would be shut down since it doesn't give info on what areas, Washington may not even be effected by it. Probably areas like California and the Great Lakes like it said where there are times where salmon fishing was shutdown for years. But if they were to shut down salmon fishing or rockfishing for a few years in Washington I wouldn't mind it, as long as they shut it down for the commercial fishing also so it could actually help the populations get back even though rockfishing would take like 50 years to do so because of the lifespans.

I agree. I wouldnt mind it either as long as all commercial and native nets are included. It seems to me its directed to the sportsmen only.Once Wa state loses .05 cents they will not allow it.
