no whitefish in search on lakes?

I was just trying to find reports for whitefish and noticed that you can't search any lakes for whitefish or Lake Whitefish. They are only a search option in the Columbia basin and rivers. You also cant pick whitefish when submitting reports.

Is there a reason for this and can it be changed?

Also - can "Latest Reports" be searched back more than 30 days or is there another way to look for whitefish reports without having to specify the exact location first?

Thanks,

Larry

Whitefish actually have a season. Not sure if that matters but my guess would be that if the body of water doesnt have an open season then they wont add to species that you can target execpt for places where it does have a season

No, I dont think it has to do with seasons or which lake you choose. When submitting a report, you choose which species you're reporting on before you even choose a state or county or lake. Whitefish just isnt an option when reporting or searching. Also, whitefish is open year round on most lakes Ive looked at - like Banks and Roosevelt. There might be seasons on the rivers, but they have whitefish as an option for search and reporting.

Banks, Roosevelt, Billy Clapp, Moses Lake, Potholes, Soda and Goose(s) have lake whitefish over here. I suspect there's more but that's all I know of as they are local. If Roosevelt has them, then the Columbia also has them. It just remains to find out where they gather up in the reservoirs behind the dams.
