my football pictures.

Post by JT26 » Sat Dec 01, 2007 9:45 pm

I go to Interlake High School in Bellevue, and i play football. I am a freshman, so i play on the freshman team, but i got moved up for one J.V. game. I had a good season, till i fractured my ankle and missed two games, but i returned to play the last two. I play WR and Outside linebacker. For my last two games i switched from RB and WR throughout the game. I also was Punt Returner and the left side Kick Returner. Only time i was out was on extra points. i think i may have played more jv if i was a little bigger. im 5'6" 120lbs, maybe if i was 150 i could have played it.

heres a tackle i got in a freshman game versus Issiquah

and theres me running it back.

Also, i have links to our highlight films. With the sky blue jersey, i am 25 and with navy, i am 17. They didnt tape the games i did really well in, but i doesnt matter, its a team sport.

Now is the time to get ready for next year at Varsity or JV. Hit the weight room atleast three days a week. If you are not in a winter sport, jump on the wrestling team. It will keep you conditioned as well as teach you how your body moves and teach you how get the most of your body in reference to leverage and agility, both necessary skills for football.

In the spring, go out for track and master running styles, especially if you are planning on the RB, WR, or DB positions, as well as Special Teams play. Most of all don't be idle. This is the time to train for next season.

By the way, don't neglect your studies. It's the path to college ball.

JT-

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them. The world of contact sports is not kind to the little guy (I'm 5'7"). You still have some growing years in you, so your height may change.

Cavdad gave some good advise. If your height doesn't change, you can always "buff up". Keep up your hard work.
