Apple Cup week!!!

Post by CK14 » Sun Nov 18, 2007 3:06 pm

what a weekend heading into the apple cup huh? UW pulling an upset win in dominating fashion with a backup quarterback over CAL 37-23 and WSU getting blasted by the beavs 52-17!

i've got a question for you coug fans, do you think the defense will be able to stop the running game of Locker (who will play next week) and Rankin (who went over 1,000 yards for the year)? i really don't see how they will be able to.

i think brink will be able to rip up the secondary of UW though, they've been pretty bad all year... if he can throw it to the right team :-#

so what do you all think? my prediction is UW 41 WSU 38

LET THE TRASH TALKING BEGIN!!!

Gonna be a larger spread than that! Don't cut the Dawg Pack short.

I have really enjoyed watching the college career of Alex Brink, so I'll be pulling for the Cougs. My son played against him in the state semifinals in 2002 where Brink lead his team to the title. He's one in a million.

but what about locker? he is a red-shirt freshman quarterback who can run like an all league running back and also to top it off runs a 4.5 40 yard dash which is as good as reggie bush.

i would...but i don't see either defense stoping the run of UW or the pass of WSU, although the UW defense has been playing better as of late.

Going to be at that game...

UW rolls over the Wazzu in dominating fashion like it's been since we started the Apple cup...

Cavdad, did you mean one completion to a million picks? Only then, would it make sense!

Both defenses are terrible.

Locker is true phenom, but can't hit a wide open receiver to save his life.

Alex Brink will play the game of his life to end his record-breaking career at a great QB school.

I like your high score prediction, CK. Unfortunately you picked the wrong team.....

WSU 45 UW 38

GO COUGS!

Rankin is going to be the ball game for the Dawgs. I think Locker is gonna be a bit hesitant and unwilling to go for it the way he did prior to receiving the "stinger." I'm definitely rooting for my Dawgs, but I'm thinking it will be a lower scoring game:

UW - 24
WSU - 17

I'm already saying our wazzu will lose,we suck. Our defense was stupidly made for the freshman corners and db's to not be able to get beaten deep and scored on. They sit there 15-20 yards from the line of scrimmage and just give up 1st down after 1st down. Doba is an idio straight up. Oh and about our offense,it also blows, he thought he could win 3 games by throwing over 50 passes in each of them and running the ball on an average of about 10 times haha. Can't wait for that idiot to get fired after this year.

Great game. Who was that trashing on Brink?

3 - 1 Apple Cup Record
12 TD's; 0 INT against the Huskies
1250+ Yds against the Huskies
Only WSU QB to win 3 Apple Cup trophies

Now the other side of the coin:
UW 3 turnovers on passing plays; 2 INT; 1 Fumble after the catch.

Hmmmm! Go Cougs.

Don't think anyone was trashing him. He still is nothing special...

I think any prep QB could light up the Washington secondary. I think Brink could, and should have thrown for more then 399 yards against UW's DB's. They are garbage.

GO Dawgs

All I see is Magler saying he was close, and I get the impression WSU won. I'll check ESPN.

Edit: Wow, close game. But we won a moral victory. :^o #-o :-"
