Eastern Washington Vacation Rental?

Post by dilbert » Thu Oct 04, 2007 1:04 pm

I'm planning my vacation for August 2008 and looking for suggestions for a rental in eastern washington. It needs to sleep 12 (5 bedrooms min) and be on (or at least really close) to a lake that is great for bass fishing and good for swimming.

Any suggestions?

I usually see some nice houses on Long Lake that people rent out during the summer. Long is probably the best smallmouth lake on this side of the state other than maybe Roosevelt, but unlike Roosevelt you have a decent chance of hooking into a really nice largemouth, and there's a lot less boat traffic too. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

The kids are too young right now to be on a houseboat for a week. It would make me way too nervous now, but that is in out long term plans for sure.

Long Lake would be nice... Gisteppo sure pulls a nice variety of nice (large) fish out of there.

In case (years later!) you are looking for a spot in 2011 we now have a spot that seems like exactly what you are looking for - big lodge house on Palmer lake in E WA, sleeps 12 across 8 bedrooms, great for bass fishing, great for swimming. You can check it out at www.lodgeatpalmerlake.com.
