I'm going to be in Chelan for a week toward the end of May. My son and I are planning to rent a boat from Coulee Playground Resort to make an exploratory trip on Banks. The boat rental place is in Electric City on the North end. I've looked at the WALakes Hotspot maps and noted that most of the locations for SMB are down south a ways by Steamboat, the Devils punchbowl, or across on the West side.
The boats they rent are probably in the 14-16' range with a 25hp engine. Not being familiar with Banks, is it feasible to rent a boat in Electric City and plan on running down to the Steamboat area to fish for bass. Thanks for any info.

You can fish the entire north end for Smallies, and all the bays for Largies, no need to go any further south than the 'airport bays'.
They have maps at the store and he can show you where the bays are.

Yup, it's about 6 miles or so.
