Northwest Fishing Reports

As new life springs from the ground, and the warmth of spring descends upon Western Washington, Kokanee begin to become more active. Lake Stevens continues to warm and fishing is beginning to improve, and while fishing isn't "HOT" yet, the action is consistent and fun.

During the peak season I run my Kokanee trips at $250 for the boat, but through May 1st I am going to be doing trips for $100 just to get some people out and do some early season fishing. I have left my calender wide open for the next two weeks not knowing if fishing would be good, and we have done very well the last few times out. Fishing pressure is still very light, and it makes for an awesome, peaceful day on the lake. Plus these fish are hard fighting and taste great!

These trips have to be booked on or before May 1st, after the first I will be running my full priced trips. I even have Saturday and Sunday open this weekend. I can fish Morning or Evenings up to 5 hours. This trip will include two adults and up to two children (15 or younger). I will provide top of the line rods and tackle, and over 15 years of Kokanee fishing experience. While we are on the water I will explain what I do to catch these fish so you can leave at the end of the day with the confidence to experience this fishery for yourself. All you need to bring is a valid fishing licence, a cooler for your catch at the end of the trip, and be sure to dress for the weather. I will clean and bag your catch for you at the end of the day.

Fishing has been red hot the last five days for Kokanee. I have put 115 Kokes in the boat during that time and had many more chances to increase that number. Because this trips have been such a hit I am going to extend this offer through next week. I also have two seats available this Thursday.
