I have fished it and caught some very small crappies and bass fishing for Crappies. I have never seen or heard of a Catfish out of there but that certainly doesn't mean they aren't in there.
I know Lake Cassidy has Catfish in there. I actually caught one on a small mister twister last summer fishing Crappies after dark. Used to catch them all the time back home in Iowa, but never really fish for them.
I know a lot of people out here are calling bullheads Catfish. They aren't catfish and aren't even close. There meat is horrible at least in my opinion. Anything outside of a Channel Catfish, I can't eat. But to each his own I guess.
Good fishing.

I have never met a fish yet that respected a big purchase. You can own a $100 boat or you can own a $30,000 boat. You might be more comfortable, but don't expect any fish to care about your investment.

I hear you on that Joe im from back east and the south , and i having only eating channel cats, blues or flatheads / as too bullheads, yellow bellys, browns i dont eat .. i knoe for a fact that one the best cats to eat are flatheads because they mainly eat live baitfish , not really a bottom feeder like other cats .. i do eat channel cats and they eat live bait and some bottom feeding so its best to eat the 2 to 3 pounders , anything weight over that and you run a small risk of toxics , thats why farm raised channels are superior nationwide ..but thats just me , too each there own ...BBD

there is a public access point at the north end of the lake, but most of the lake is covered with lilly pads. However, if you where to use a float tube or a canoe you could get twords the center of the lake where there is open water, a small row boat would also work. Good luck fishing there if you catch anything please poast some photos!

It is betwean 208th and 192nd if you look an google maps its easy to find. All the lilly pads just looks like bass heaven to me.

I have fished Panther Lake several times in the past and have caught lots of smaller bass up to about 14 inches. Also caught small perch and sunfish.
A nice bass is too valuable a resource to enjoy catching only once.

Did you fish panther from shore, or a boat?

You really need a small boat or canoe. I fished it from a canoe.
