well here is the story and was wondering if any experts out there have opinions. Took my boat out saturday and was heading toward point no point from kingston when my oi light came on(1999 suzuki fuel injected 2 stroke 150 hp) decided to stop and fish kingston on the kicker. later that night disassembled all oil lines to and from oil res and oil pump. found semiplugged outlet at bottom of resovoir. after cleaning everything out and reassembling took boat out today. started by letting warm up then got on step and no oil light! however about 400 yards later engine died. I went to restart and it turned over really slow like it had just seized. I headed home called a marina who told me that some times the oil pumps loose their prime so I disassembled lines again and this time pumped oil through the lines and pump from the res. to the mixing chamber, then I pulled the plugs and looked inside with a small light, one cylinder definately had scoring next I squirted oil in all cylinders and cranked engine over with plugs out. after that I ran the engine on the hose for about 5 minutes and then headed to the closest launch. once there I ran the boat for 20 minutes at 4500 rpm's straight and it seems to run great!? anybody think I got lucky or is this thing gonna blow!
any advice or info would be appreciated
thanks

I watch the end of this process Saturday.:colors:
1. Run dont walk to a (lead Pro only) and have a complete leak down and compression test done.
2. Pull each plug and inspect each one.
3. Test the oil pump on oil pressure throughout the real RPM range.
4.Sell the Bayliner
:compress: lol just kidding:cheers:

You can do the plug inspection and it will cost you a few $$ but at the end of the day in the Big Blue Safety and reliability is number one.
I have a few pro's if you need one good luck.

Cylinder scoring is not good. Get it into a good shop for a look see.

Yup, a scored cylinder will not last long.

You might run that engine via premix 50:1 instead of injected Just plug the oil lines and mix yur own! Check Google on "oil problems with suzuki outboards" I'll start it out for you, http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=145361 Good luck, scoring doesn't sound good.... only in sport's and games
