OK, well this may not be the correct forum to be asking multi tool questions.. but I'll take my chances.
I have a few different multi tools, actually I have all Leathermans tools, in various sizes.
I was just wondering if anybody has had the same problem that i've had this week. My Super Tool 300 had become very stiff in the closing of the tool. Therfor I added WD-40 to the general pinch/gear area.. this made the tool quite easy to close of course. Fixed my problem. However, now when I open the two handles... and then try and close them as if to close the pliers, etc. The two handles will close themselves, but the plier section (the pinching point) of the tool does not close. The arms have become so lubricated that they just close themsleves and the pressure point of the pliers end does not close. I'm pissed! It was a 75$ tool. Not to mention that I did the same thing to another Leatherman (added wd-40) and same thing happened, so I through it away thinking it was broken.
Don't know if I'm explaining this correctly or not?? Anybody following this, or have the same experience?:-({|=

I had the same problem with mine, never got it resolved. I stopped using it and just bring my buck pro. It'd be nice to know how to fix it though!

I;m sort of glad to hear somebody had the same problem,
I will look for a "Forum" for Leatherman peeps. That is what I love about the internet,, whatever little thing your into, there is a group of people online somewhere chatting about it. I'll let you know. It sure sucks though, it's a great tool, and it wasn't cheap.

My leatherman tools have been the same way when new.
The more you use it the better it gets.
It takes some time to get them loosen up.
I got a new leatherman Surge last year.
I use it every day and it is finally starting to loosen up.
