I think the Leatherman Wave is my favorite full size multitool and the Leatherman Squirt P4 is my favorite keychain sized multitool.

For a full sized tool, The Leatherman Kick and Blast would be closer to your $50 price range.

Here's a whole bunch. All price ranges. Cabela's gave me one of their $9.99 key chain models for having one of their credit cards for 10 years. The darn thing works great. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/commo ... &noImage=0

I just bought the Gerber Suspension multi tool and I am very impressed for the price. It has the obvious pliers and also straight and surated blades, saw (that actually works), scissors, bottle opener, big and small flat head screwdriver, and a phillips head screwdriver. The only complaint I have about it is that it seems a little heavy, but you can't notice the weight when on your hip.

I bought mine at Joes for around $35 and it was well worth it for a great tool compaired to the other over priced multi tools.

I'm a huge fan of the SOG Powerlock (~$60-$80). When I was in the Navy I always carried around a multi-tool for random things. Over the years I had owned primarily Leatherman's and Gerber's, but they both had their achilles heel. Leatherman's hurt like a ____ when gripping them tightly while using the pliers. I have broken numerous parts of Gerber's in "normal abuse." To this day, my SOG is the only multi-tool that hasn't failed me... plus they are made here in Washington with a lifetime warranty.
