It's a page under my personal account (not the way I would have done it if I understood the process back then. "Like"ing is just fine. I don't even know what advantage there would be to "friending". Facebook is kinda secondary to me.

August we had record fishing reports - 311 river and 191 saltwater reports. Thanks to all that submitted a report and let readers know how the action was out there!

We are starting to use our WashingtonLakes.com FaceBook page more and I am trying to post a "Report of the Day" to share with the FaceBook crowd. So your report may get featured there!

thats awesome! FB has killed quite a few forums but this is going strong and with the help of FB too now..

Not too worried about that. FB isn't a fishing site, so using our report system and then sharing your fishing report to FB seems like a good way to reach out to family and friends that don't have WL.com bookmarked.

I like having FB highlight reports!! If you "Like" the report then your friends may see that particular post. On a tangent (and probably a keen grasp of the obvious)--I've notices quite a few people on the forum posting about their success--it sure would be nice to get actual reports from them. Now that I actually catch a few I'm even more aware how valuable those posts are.

Also, if one does a report it goes into the stats for the historical data. This feature is available in premium membership (sale at 17.99 a year). It can tell you what is the most caught species, best month, best type of lure, and a few others.

Reports will be easy to access whereas the forums will get buried eventually and harder to find.

With our latest downtime our FaceBook "Likes' went over 1,000. I guess that's one way to get more "Likes", have the site go down?

Have you ever considered to change the fanpage URL to something like

facebook.com/washington.lakes

It would be a nice move in my opinion!
