The Washington State Pond Jumperz bass club is excited to announce another great season of Electric Motor Only Bass Tournaments. This year, with new focus, the WSPJ will be serving the small boat anglers of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties. Club meetings will be the first Tuesday of each month starting in February. The meetings will start @ 7:00 PM at the Mount Vernon Round Table Pizza (Just off I-5 on College Way) Attendance is open to anyone interested in joining the club or those who are interested in fishing our ‘Open’ tournaments.

2012 brings a new format to our bass tournaments. This year we will be hosting five ‘Open’ events. These events will be open to club members as well as the fishing public. There is a 20 boat limit per tournament and club members get first priority at registration. General tournament rules will apply with the exception of our Electric Motor Only restriction. We do not limit the size or type of the boat but we do require that ‘only’ electric motors be used during the tournaments. Boats must be equipped with a working live well. Our tournaments are not team events. Two individuals may fish from the same boat but they will be in competition against each other as well as the other registered anglers.
  • 4/28 - Lake Samish (Whatcom)
    5/12 - Lake Goodwin (Snohomish)
    6/9 - Clear Lake (Skagit)
    7/14 - Lake Roesiger (Snohomish)
    8/11 - Big Lake (Skagit)
If you have any questions about becoming a club member or joining us for our tournaments,
Send me a PM, Email or check out our website at http://www.pondjumperz.com

I believe that i have finished 2nd the last 2 years at Goodwin, but just in case I will have my 9yr old give you a call for those spots.

Roesiger is initially set to be a Thursday, But, I am working on getting that changed. Slight oversight by the guy that sent in the permits. Ok, so it was me.

I am working from home today, so i am watching your every move :)

Robert, has gone 2-0 at Goodwin.
For me, both of my attempts were hampered by the same stooge that messed up the Roesiger permit. At least they were not the same mistakes 2 years in a row.

Hi Spindog, The three lakes you mention are all slated as "Open" tournaments. You do not need to be a member of the club to participate. We typically follow the normal bass tournament rules with the had exception of a couple. First, no use of outboard motors are allowed. This covers travel or use to charge batteries. Trolling motors only. the other exception we have is that we usually have a 3 fish limit.

bcalvert, sounds like a good time. Thanks for the info, I would like to fish with you guys.
I'll have to check it out with my co-angler- Spinner.
Dogs are ok as a co-angler right?

Does the dog use a scooby-do rod? I think your dog will be fine as long as it doesn't out fish us all :)
