For those of you who care to comment on new rule proposals, this is a "major cycle" rule wise.
Here is the WDFW link http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/rule_proposals/index.htm to the proposals.

This is a list the WDFW is currently considering most changes made in this process would take effect May 1 2008.
The public hearing for these proposed rules will be held during the Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting on November 2 and 3, 2007 in Chelan, Washington. Verbal testimony on the proposals may be presented at the hearing and if you plan on attending, you may also submit written testimony at the hearing. If you are not attending the November 2-3 meeting but plan on submitting written testimony, it may be sent to Lori Preuss, WDFW Rules Coordinator at 600 Capitol Way North, Olympia, WA 98501- 1091. Testimony may also be e-mailed to WDFW at preuslmp@dfw.wa.gov. Ms. Preuss must receive all written testimony prior to the November 2 meeting.

Is it me or are the fishing regs starting to become more and more like our US tax code? #-o

True...

I wish they would break the regs down by fish type. I could truly care less about salmon, steelhead and trout. It bad enough I can't spit in a creek because of the stupid salmon, now I have to wade through far too many pages of fishing regs to find out what the rules are for warmwater species fishing. I'm just whining...:-({|=

A true warm water fisherman. I like it. These regs written by hippies require a good lawyer to decipher. I don't care if I can't fish for a 18" wild salmon on the East Fork of the Stillaguamish on Tuesdays after 3pm unless im using a fly rod with black pattern and I have one sock wet inside my waders. I do fish for trout because they make excellent crab bait. WHOA!

I love getting a rise out of trout and salmon guys. They will eat when you are hard up for fish, but man dive into a walleye and you will never go back. It gets expensive but I spend most of my time on the other side of the mountains fishing for marble eyes and big perch.

Does Sammamish have decent perch in it or is it prodominately a bass lake. I like fishing for smallmouth, but bugel mouth carp (LM Bass) I could do without.

Good fishing.
