New fishing organization

Post by bassinbaby » Fri May 09, 2014 2:46 pm

There is a new fishing group being organized in Wenatchee, WA called the "The Fisherman's Forum". The concept is designed for a place where everyday anglers can come and have a subject/species presented by a guest or participants and create a discussion accordingly. It will be a multi species format, but, several species will be open for discussion. There won't be any guides or pros making presentations. Just anglers that have a good working knowledge of their species of choice. The point is for the anglers to have an exchange of ideas, experiences and maybe hookup with another angler and go fishing.
The first meeting will be discussing the Columbia River draw down and how it may impact the salmon run, plus Lance Merz from Macks lures will be sharing how to catch Kokanee on Chelan and Bob Akers and Cody Stentz will be talking about pre-spawn and spawning bass.
The meetings will be the 2nd Tuesday of each month running from May through Oct.
The location is the Wenatchee First Assembly church. They have a sizable class room they have graciously allowed us to use.
Meeting time is at 7 p.m. starting May 13th..
