Update topo maps

Post by fishing collector » Fri Jan 09, 2009 12:47 am

:fish: Hi Guys.... Any chance that you could update the topo maps to show some places to fish and where the launch sites are and important features of the lake? An example would be on the map of Rufus Woods: Show where the Net Pens are and the launches along with the sponsors cabin they rent. Maybe give a rating to the launches when more than one are on a lake. Any known structures for safety purposes and best fishing sites. I am sure others will have some ideas on this subject.
These lakes can be updated as time and additions are sent in or maybe quarterly or before each new season starts.

A map of the major rivers in Washington with the launches and fishin holes. Just a little map to show where the 116th st hole is would save a bunch of band width. You could have a section that users could post maps and make it self administrating, a place that we could go to and find fishin' holes.

:-k Just a thought...I know that all this would take time, but it would be nice, Steve

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

The new site wll include hotspots which will address several of your requests. The current maps themselves have to be hand-edited and right now we are hard at work with the new site testing, so this would below on our priorities. We are looking at improving the quality and look of the current maps, but that will take time and money. It's on our "to do" list...

Hotspots are not available for rivers.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
