Historical data reports

Post by Toni » Sun Mar 22, 2009 9:48 pm

I was looking at the different data available but some of the lakes I know people fish for bass and trout. Is there a way for the data to include what type of fish?

Only if people used the dropdown controls to select the species.

There's a sizable chunk of the reports that don't have this data entered. Mike and I plan on going back through the older reports and entering it all by hand for the reports where people mention what they were fishing for.

Would that work if they were fishing for bass but caught trout?

I'm not sure what you mean, but what I meant was that if they state that they caught Bass, we'll mark it down as bass, and mark down what they were caught with, if stated.

Going back through the thousands of reports is an interesting experience - kind of like reliving 10 years of your live. It's quite - fatiguing.

What we do is try to get the focus of the report. If it was bass the angler was after that's what we would focus on. The trout would have been an incidental catch.
