I'm wondering if it's something I missed on settings or what but when I return to a thread that I have been to before, it opens to the first page/first post on that thread. I know that other sites are set up so that if I return to a thread it opens to the first unread post. Is this something that I can control in user settings or that the mods can control?
It would make browsing the forums more user friendly if you can do this.

Good question, we'll see how many different answers you receive. If you go to the far right hand side of a forum/thread link you should see an arrow with a small page icon next to it. If you click on the page icon it should get you to the last post of that thread.

I can't duplicate your situation. It always returns to the same page I was just on. Aaron will probably chime in on this and explain further what your issue is.

OK... What you need to do is punch-up the community and then look for your forum you want then look to the far right sid
of that line and you will see the person that posted the last item in that forum and you will see a little folder icon . Now just click on that and it should do what you want...Bring you back to the last item .....At least it works for me.... You can always pick the page you want in that forum and it will bring you back to the your page you want.....the problem being is remembering the page you were on!!! I pick the little icon and it works for me.....I am sure there will be more posting here....just keep up watching ...maybe post when you don't want any more answers.....LOL...:-) Have a great summer...don't forget the picnic Jul 19th
