We got the beat on lake topos around here, what's the possibility of nailing down the Sound? Break it up into the Marine Areas and even make it zoomable and moveable around each area. Hot Spots could be added as well. :cyclopsan
I use to have a couple sites that I could dissect for maps but recently they are charging to print and require a membership.
Other than that, any ideas as to a good place to find topos of the Sound if we can't do it round here?
Thanks gentlemen.

RE:Puget Sound Topo Maps
like under water depth line maps? There used to be a whole series of them but the company went out of business. I have a set. PM me.
Otherwise, google would kind of work, depends what your specific needs are.

Yes, depth charts. Anything online I can look at?Mike Carey wrote:like under water depth line maps? There used to be a whole series of them but the company went out of business. I have a set. PM me.

My needs are to pinpoint contour and depth changes. Specifically around my area over here on the KP.
Sending you a PM right about.............. now.

Here is a link to NOAA's on-line chart viewer for the West Coast. It really rocks!.
http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer ... able.shtml
Now you can also download the charts in raster format for free! The trick is finding a chart viewer that you can use. I use the free viewer that Maptech supplies.
http://www.maptech.com/support/doc.cfm? ... 23&plid=39
Once you get the hang of loading the map files into the correct directory your good to go.
Also, Fish-n-Maps makes maps for the Puget Sound as well and they are the standard by which other fishing maps are judged.

Thanks G-Man. Really couldn't figure out how to use those sites but it's ok. I found exactly what I was looking for at TerraServer.
Still would be nice to have something like that around here.
