a whole lake washington section.

Post by JT26 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 7:34 pm

It seems like lake washington gets way more questions than anyother lake, so maybe there should be a LW section. Like in the panfish section i swear there is five topics call Lake Washington perch, lol.
Just sounds like a good idea to me, what does everyone else think?

We could make a Big Lake section. Lk Wa, Lk Samm, Potholes, American, Banks, etc.

You know that will just make more work for you in having to monitor posts and then move them.
Lk Wa does get a lot of attention and this doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Yeah I like the idea, but as you say its going to be way too much work and hassle. Maybe Aaron could program a super bot to automatically move threads with the words 'lake washington' in the title to a special sub forum. :batman: #-o

That's a good idea. I have heard the Lk Washington is one of the most under fished lakes in WA? Any truth to this... It is a huge lake

A ton of truth to that - it's mainly used for recreation (water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, etc), and for the occasional sockeye fishery. Trout and bass are often overlooked by people who get "intimidated" by the big lake. Many say it's just too large to learn, but one must start out slow and work up...that's what I did.

Good idea. I think a LW topic section would be most appropriate and justly due.

Very true. kuttkilla demonstrates the undiscovered potential that the lake has. For the quality of the trout that it kicks out and how big the lake is, their is really no fishing pressure.

Sockeye season isn't like this, it's easy to see a few thousand boats out on the water on the opening day of that season when it's open.

Many believe that the state record smallie is lurking somewhere in Lake WA. Of course, that fishery recieves little pressure. There are also a few great spots for largemouth out there that are untouched, so yes, I would consider Lake Washington to be one of the most under fished bodies of water in Washington.

the only fish targeted by alot of people on lake washington are perch. in the summer, some piers are full of people going for perch every evening. Everything else is pretty much untouched.
