BS Scale and DQ of the month

I don't know if these would be possible because some angler's can be very sensitive about their fishing but I think it would be hillarious to have some kind of BS scale to rate posts because some of these guys tell "fish stories" and then back them up with pics that prove that they are full of it. I wouldn't mind if someone called BS on me. Also another one that might offend the sensitive type, how about a monthly voting contest for a "washington lakes drama queen or king" with some kind of small prize? Sometimes I feel like i'm on myspace or facebook with the drama some of these fishermen cause. I view this website several times a day to read fishing reports and chat with other people that have the same passion as I. And maybe this "prize" will slow the childesh behavior that some of the members display, maybe not but it will be funny anyway. Rather than drama queen we could call them the "clown fish" or something stupid like that?

For someone who criticizes such behavior, I find your attempt to stir the pot to be quite odd...
I've never understood people who take the internet too seriously. What does it matter to you if some guy posts a 6lber thats really a 4lber? Doesn't matter to me, nor do I feel a need to call him out for it or have something like you propose.
Relax bro, take things a little lighter. It's the internet............

Your idea would offend alot of folks and make some quite angry. This site prides itself on not calling people out and not
harassing people, so how do you think this would even be OK? This has the makings for humiliation, harassment, and intimidation.

As far as pictures go, the camera angle, depth of field setting on the camera, even the amount of sun light between the times of when the pictures were taken, can drasticly change the appearance of the fish in the picture. Not to mention the size of the person's hand/thumb holding the fish. A year and a half ago I caught 2 largemouth a day or 2 days apart. They looked compleatly different but weight exactly the same on my scale. After I got home after the 2nd fish I had to test my scale to see if it was stuck. Both fish weighed 5.7 lbs.

Always appreciate suggestions for improving the site, but ya, I think this could only lead to some hurt feelings. There are other websites that absolutely are OK with anything goes, but we're just setting the bar a little different here. I think we all develope our own "internal BS meter" over the years. I see lots of 10 pound salmon that in my eyes are 6 pounds. Just the nature of fishing I guess.

Agreed, For the most part people here are trying to have a conversation and discuss ideas. No need to push people away by having their conversations graded.
If I wanna talk to Toni about downriggers or BS with AMX about props, I dont need my conversation critiqued by a third party.

I can certainly appreciate the humor but it could easily get out of hand.
Their should be an award for the folks that create a 3rd person character and then continue to talk to themselves.
That is beyond weird and creepy but can be semi entertaining.

Are you sure that the 3rd person isn't "you" and the rest of the forum? Someone can share information, ideas, and topics without
having a two way exchange. I guess I'm confused by your statement or mabey you don't understand mine.
