On the cover page which shows all of the forums, it lists Marc Martyn as the moderator of all the forums. I'm thinking that must be a mistake? Marc would be awfully busy.

All the other mods just sneak up on y'all, so you won't know what hit you.

No, I'm not the only one. If I were, yes, I would be real busy.

But, fortunately there are other moderators on the forum and they are doing a great job. We have LotechJoe, Gringo Pescador, AMX, Big D.

I don't know why I am the only one listed. It might be because I was one of the first to take on the job. Aaron is aware of the single listing of me and will add the others sometime in the future. Now there is a busy man![laugh]

As far as a public forum goes, this one is like a church social compared to some. I have gone on other forums where the language and name calling will curl your toes. The majority of the readers on this forum want a civil and polite place where they can discuss things. As one of the older members of this site, I have noticed over the decades that public language in stores, restaurants and on the street has deteriorated quite a bit. It is not uncommon to hear the "F-word" in casual conversation at an eating establishment or a department store. It is quite common in many forums.

We have a great group of regulars on the forum. Very little intervention is needed for the most part. If I come across as being a little grumpy, I apologize, because I try not to be. But, I will continue to go by the guidelines of the Terms of Acceptable Use.

GP, it used to show that you were a moderator, before the bot problem. Now it just shows your rank and when you joined. Maybe that is something else that still needs to be fixed.

Edit: Never mind, you addressed it while I was typing.

It still shows up in the mod's profile.

Im mad cuz Marc wouldnt let me put my fish picture just because I was wearing a Speedo only.He said it would scare everyone off.I told him that the fish was naked too.

good point.....but i'm think'n most will go along with marc on that 1

it's the new forum upgrade. As Marc said, Aaron is aware and it's on his never ending list of things to do.
