Why is this forum so photo unfriendly????

I submitted a report with photos neither the report or photos posted. Followed the direction on how to post a photo on a thread and guess what?????? Photos didn't post. In the past when I tried it would tell me photos were too big so I did the email thing clicked the upload didn't say it was too big.........just didn't post them. Really reports or for that matter thread posts are a whole lot better with photos................It really does prevent me from being active on this forum. Sadly when I feel it is easier or more dependable to just post a link to another competing forum so people can see pic's. I truly hope that this is a problem that will be addressed in a timely mannner as it is a really HUGE problem.

The report is there, with pictures.

1 - subit report with pictures

2 - when Mike gets home. sees and reads the report, he'll then post it

3 - go fishing and have more fun. :-)

ditto. you submitted the report two times, and both times the photos were there. The reports are always reviewed by myself or Aaron so don't expect to see them posted right when you submit them. Our standard is 24 hrs or less to post the report.

This is one of the easiest sites to post photos on. Try posting at eye fish, now that is a tough system.

When you post with pics write your report first and post the pics last. I use my photo shop program to resize pics to a smaller image. Ive never had a problem with my pics not posting. Yes this site is much easier then others Ive been on. Ty Mike and Aarron for this site. Tons of info easy posting and knowledgeable people here that usually give gr8 advise. what more can ya ask for.

I see the report posted didn't know it had to be reviewed. I did the e-mail resize thing...............to post on the thread..............didn't post on the big bass thread..............didn't say to large just won't post why?????? BD I can post with out resize, the process is the same as here. Really not understanding why they don't load?????????

If a photo is larger than 250k it will post as a link instead of a photo. This is a feature for users with less bandwidth. Imagine being on dialup and loading a thread with 10 photos all over 300k... it would take forever!

besides file size, the other biggest photo issue is having "odd" characters in the file name, such as " or ! or * or... you get the picture. Or real Lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng file names. So keep it short and simple.

The previous issue with the report forms I think has been corrected by moving the text field above the upload photo field, so now members will tend to write the report first and upload the picture LAST, and then immediate hit send so the photo doesn't get seperated from the report.
