List the lakes by name in alphabetical order, not by some number for the pages. If I want a map/pictures of lakes I have to guess what page number it MAY be on, then surf the pages for many minutes until I find it while guessing which 'next page'/' next 10' it MIGHT be in.

The Lake Index is listed by alphabetical order, and at the top of that list there is a an "A to Z" link system. Make sure you have the state drop down set to Washington, unless you want ID, OR, or CA.

Yes, but where do you find Sawyer in here for "Lake Gallery";

Or Kapowsin, ect. You have to jump thru WAY too many hoops to find the 'S's and 'K's, ect. Should just be letters/alphabetical, no numbers involved.

"Washington Lakes" for reports page is alphabetical.

OK, see what you're saying, and not arguing. This might help a bit: the Topo Index has a search function in the upper right corner. You can click on that to type in the name of the lake you want. I agree, an alphabet listing would be helpful. For the Lake Gallery, there isn't anything equivalent. You could pull up the Lake Index to see that lake's pics, but then what's the point of having a photo gallery, other than for random viewing of lake pics (which is the way it is currently set up). I'll mention to Aaron. thanks.

AMX, there is an alphabetical listing of the lakes by name. I think you could trim down the search time by using the filters on the Lake Index. First filter out the State you are in, second filter by the letter the lake begins with. Using the letter "K", for Kapowsin, as an example you are left with 1 page of 20 lake names from which to view. Pictures and a map to the lake can be found under the "info" link next to the name of the lake. An underwater topo map of the lake, if available, is found by clicking on the blue "globe" next to the name of the lake. All the reports for the lake are then available by following the "reports" link next to the name of the lake. Also, as Mike mentioned type in the name of the lake in the search box and presto, your there in an instant.

OK,

Have a look at the following images. I have put bright arrows on the images pointing to where one would click to apply the "filter" for narrowing down the lakes. Keep in mind that all of the darker blue lettering found on the Lake Index page are clickable and will either perform a function or link you to another page.

First click on the "State" drop down menu and select "WASHINGTON".

Then move over to the string of capital letters and select the letter "K"

Now you have all of the lakes in Washington State beginning with the letter "K" in a list. Click on the "info" link next to Kapowsin and you'll get the pics and some bsasic information.

Can't be done, not at all, never -- no search feature on that page. You have to guse which page of 100 where the piture MIGHT be, then screw arounf fot minutes, or hours, while you get frustrated trying to find a simple picture of a lake.

That page numbers don't need to be there at all, but it wouldn't hurt to have page nubers, but LETTERS for the lakes on any given page is RECIURED as far as I am concerned.

How many new members know of doing it your way? NONE. We go to the top/coass menue and click on 'mapsm' or 'photos' and then can't fing the stuff we are looking for.

In other words =SIMPLIFY IT BY DOING THE LETTER THING, not the number thing. Numbers are worthless unless the only thing you want to do is know how many pages there are of photos or maps.

Now this page at least has a search feature [lake topo maps];

A simpler suggestion would be to do away with the "lake Gallery" link and have folks use the existing Lake Index which provides links to all of the information, pics, etc. of a given lake. Sometimes less is more. Man I can't believe that I actually found a use for that quote.
