i hate watching the snagger and i was have minimul luck (or maybe my skill) at flossing them with a bead/corky and yarn. i am wondering would they even hit a little dick nite or would i still be flossing them but with a little lure instead of yarn?

h dry I always wondered if dick nites work and I am guessing they would since the fish are right on the bottom 90% of the time, I am going to try it out this weekend and wil report back.
Last year I had amazingly good success with pink Titching jigs and pink spinners and my homemade special spinners but this year it seems like more of an egg bite, try eggs.

i think if you are looking for a legit strike Dick Nites are going to get you closer to that.. in my experience with Dick Nites i get more strikes and the the hook sets itself half the time.. i rarely rip until the fish rips me..

it sucks losing a ton of those in a day in some snaggy areas though, they're not cheap..
depends on how snaggy the area is.. <--- that would be how i make the decision..

IME they work well in rivers/creeks/lakes. My two hottest have always been green splatter/chartreuse, & nickel-brass 50/50. You can get em super cheap when they have sales on em @ Fred Meyer.

Maybe if you try fishing dick nites at the mouth you may be able to get them in the mouth. But dont fish dick nites at rogers st. To many snags in the river. And snaggers.

+10
I do not pin them with a tooth pick but it does not really matter I like the bead to move like a real egg so I do not use a pick, as far as color red, orange and pink. Pinning them with atooth pick enables them to move up or down the line same as a corky.

Hey Brat Bonker, do you fish at the mouth?
no, 101 down a lot more fishing holes and probally less people per square yard I imagine as well haha. I do think fishing is going to be a little slow though as in you really have to work for your fish since there will be a full moon, it sometimes put them off the bite and they do their traveling at night so they are hiding during the day. Good Luck to all that ventures out there as well as I, may there be chrome!

hey has anyone on here tried spinners this year on the quil with any success, my go to spinners are not working for some reason so I think the fish are wanting a different color than pink.

if your on facebook post pics of fish you've caught with them on their page and you may get free ones. my first time they sent me 6, 3 the others. they pic the colors and sizes though.

I see no reason they wouldn't work on the quill. got several coho on the satsop with the copper ones.
