Have a boat and like trolling, looking for any tips!

You are not the first to ask that exact question and I doubt you will be the last, I have two tips for you.
#1: go to the Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish reports and search for cutthroat reports.
#2: go to the forum section and do a search on "lake washington cutthroat" or something of that nature. Utilize the pull downs in the search section to narrow down the results as the search will only return 50 posts at a time.
Here are a couple to get you started.

Read the regs regarding Kokanee in lake Sammamish! Pretty sure it is a CLOSED fishery.
As for cutthroat, fish over deep holes about 70-90 feet deep and fish leadcore line out 3 colors or downriggers down 20-60 feet. If you have neither run a 1 oz banana weight. Run a dodger/weddingring/worm or size 1 needlefish. Fish between the point on the east side of the lake and the Weather station. Troll this area.
Good luck.

Yes, kokes are closed in Lake Sammamish. Don't get caught with one, they are working on getting them on the federal list of threatened endangered species.
Lake Washington is a bit different. Right now and through the end of June, trout must be over 12" in length before they can be kept. Here is the trick, kokanee less than 15" long are treated as trout and if legal to keep are considered part of the trout daily limit. So, as I read it, currently you may keep a kokanee caught in Lake Washington if it is over 12" and less than 15", not much of a slot. Once July rolls around there is no minimum size on trout, so as long as your koke is under 15", you may keep it.
