Big fish getting active

Post by troutfinatic » Mon Oct 01, 2012 7:23 pm

For you fishermen waiting for the big fish to get active, for trolling. The last 2 times I went out trolling I landed a 18" & 19.5" at two different lakes in Snohomish county. I will be out there tomorow morning for the peak bite. Both fish were landed in the peak bite. Still catching plenty stockers but the bigger ones are more fun. [woot]
The fish are still deep, so if you dont use a down rigger like me, load up on the weight. [sad]
Put a lot of focus this year on one lake, I think I'm up to 100 different home made wedding ring setups, with different color combos. :-s Its amazing how some will work on sunny days and not on overcast days. Takes alot of time to try all these setup on both types of days. 8-[ The pay off is starting  It seems no matter how hard I try, I only learn a few, new color combos, that work real good each year. [crying]

And which lakes where you fishing? That is the most important information that was not included.

LOL - I think the information was perfect without a specific lake or lakes mentioned. This was not a report, but a comment on the fall feeding spree.

I have noticed the same thing on the East side. The big fish are putting on the feed bag before winter, Bass, Trout, etc.

When the water gets to 50 degrees at the lake I usually fish is when the big ones start cruising the top!
