Does anybody know anything about a small lake near the town of Skykomish called Evan's lake? It is not listed within the lake index.
It is about 15 minutes walk from the car. It is hardly an alpine lake, but it is at the edge of what I'd call alpine lakes, so I post this here. I am going to fish it soon, and wondered if anybody had ever been there.

Hi Quad...my best friend showed me this lake in the mid 80's. He had been going there since the 60's. We camped up there along the dirt road once as well. I believe it was up the Foss River Road? I'd have to look at a map to be sure...

I camped near Evans a couple weeks ago. Lake is full of small fish. I didn't see or catch any thing larger than 8 inches. Might be worth fishing next year after the fish grow a bit. How did you do?
PS, Rock Lake is nearby and an excellent hike.

It's been about a month since I was up there. But there were tons of fish in the lake. I caught a few cutthroat. 10-12".
It is very hard to fish from the shore, I had my float tube, and that was the best option. I will check out Rock lake. Did you mean that it was "An excellent hike" or can you speak to the fishing?
