Have a family get together coming up near Acadia and it's just a few blocks from the Squaxin Island boat ramp on the East end of Hammersly Inlet. Is the crabbing any good in that area? Like around Hope Island?

So far, the crabbing reports for area 13 suck. I dont think Ive seen any one reporting more than 1 or 2 dungies at a time and more often zero. Most reports are only a few rock crab, but some have reported getting large rock crab. It seems the indians are getting the blame for cleaning out all the crabs earlier in the season. Havent heard specifically about that area though.

We've eaten the Red Rock and the Dungeness side by side and prefer the sweeter Red Rock crab.
We went out of Zittel's last Saturday. 4 hours we got 8 large Red Rock's. TONS of undersize Dungie's.

Wife's friend went out of Solo Point this weekend and got a bunch of huge Dungies and Red Rock's. I'm assuming they went across to Anderson Island? Have to a DoD sticker to use Solo Point though. Range Pass doesn't cut it. :(

I'm sure if they launched out of Solo Point the closest launch available to me would be Zittel's or Steilacoom (which isn't anything more than access to the gravel beach lol)
