Its a Lexa 2500, and I have the parts diagram and instructions that came with the reel, but all it states is to use grease and oil for proper lube. It doesnt say anything about where and how. Diagram shows four screws on the side but there are only two I can see. Handle is off, bottom cover is off (heel plate) but I am guessing the rotor has to come off too? Cant find any tutorials or such anywhere, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Daiwa spinnimg reel teardown/maintenance.
Looking for info on the newer Daiwa spinning reels, specifically how to get the side plate off.

I found a pretty detailed link here: http://www.scsurffishing.com/articles/r ... enance.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It may not be your exact Diawa reel, but hopefully you get something out of it.

Just what i was looking for, Quadfather, thanks! Found another link that shows further disassembly of the same reel, and it is similar enough to mine that between that info and the schematic I have I should be able to tear this thing fully down and get it cleaned up right.
