Mother Nature cancels Tuna trip!!!

Post by northfork » Tue Aug 19, 2008 8:08 pm

Got the call when I got home from work. The Tuna trip on the Ranger is cancelled due to bad weather. And I was so looking forward to riding 16' seas with 25 knot winds while trolling for Tuna.
I sure do love Mom :^o

Oh well. When we were with Jambo a couple days ago he knew he would probably not make it out with 12-14 foot swells during this time. At least you'll be safe! It's gusting to 50-55 at Destruction Island right now. Always better safe than sorry. The 10 footers are fine with a long period of nearly 10-12 seconds but those 7-8 second suckers are tough; even charter guides will not go out; good call!
