I fished for sea bass alot over the years and found that white was a good color.....buzz bombs and just a white rag or even a t'shirt scrap. I would think a white hoochie would work. I would catch a lot up in Pt Angeles, Townsend and Richmond beach. If the bass are there now there will be more. They always come in schools and usually stick around for several weeks.
Good luck to you.

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

Looks like a Copper Rockfish to me...

That last fish isn't a sea trout, rather its a Kelp Greenling...

The Seabass at the Edmonds pier always seem to show up after the rockfish season has ended. Same thing with most of the larger rockfish

Late September / October around 2 pounds plus. A guy you may have heard of named Jos's - who hasn't been at the pier for about a year or so caught two I don't recall the exact species in March ish or April both were over 5 pounds easy.
